According to a release issued by the non-profit organization the Institute for Safe Medical Practices, a new system will be launced to help notify doctors and physicians about dangerous or life-threatening issues that are reported by other physicians. The National Alert Network for Serious Medication Errors is designed to help make sure doctors are aware of serious issues so that future mistakes may be prevented. According to the FDA, at least one person a day is killed by medication errors, and nearly 1.3 million Americans are seriously injured per year for the same issue.
If you have suffered injury due to a serious medication error, contact the Philadelphia medical malpractice lawyers of Lowenthal & Abrams, P.C. at 215-329-3511 today.
