A medical malpractice verdict was upheld in the Rhode Island Supreme Court on Monday. The verdict against a urologist was for $500,000 in damages to the victim.

The law suit claimed that the victim was treated by the urologist in 2000. Following the treatment, the victim suffered from kidney disease that eventually led to a kidney transplant.
