Woman Wins $6.4 Million in Malpractice Suit

Posted on March 27th, 2009 No Comments

A Massachusetts woman has won a $6.4 million dollar lawsuit in a medical malpractice case.  The woman claims that she suffered brain damage during her pregnancy when her doctor failed to treat her condition of preeclampsia.  Preeclampsia is a condition in pregnant women that can cause high blood pressure if left untreated.

In this case,  the pregnant woman's preeclampsia went untreated by the doctor and caused a serious injury.  The untreated condition then led the woman to suffer a brain bleed during the pregnancy.   The brain bleed then caused the woman brain damage.  The baby was delivered safely,  however the mother did suffer from her injuries.

Have you been a victim of medical malpractice?  If so, see what your options are by discussing your case with an experienced Philadelphia medical malpractice lawyer of Lowenthal & Abrams, P.C., at 215-329-3511.
